Song Library

The library is the list of every song your worship team has added for this church. Songs sync from the cloud on open, and the list pulls down to refresh.

What a song contains​

Each song stores:

  • Title
  • Author / Composer (optional)
  • Language — English, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, or Marathi
  • Lyrics — full text, parsed into slides on save
  • Category — defaults to "general"

Add a song​

Tap the + floating action button (or Add First Song on an empty library) to open the Add Song screen. You have three options on that screen:

1. Manual entry​

  1. Pick the Song Language from the dropdown
  2. Enter Song Title (required)
  3. Enter Author / Composer (optional)
  4. Type the Lyrics — separate verses with blank lines, label sections (Verse 1, Chorus) if you want them on the slide
  5. Tap Save

The lyrics are auto-parsed into slides based on the text structure.

2. Scan Songbook (OCR)​

Tap the Scan Songbook card at the top:

  • Scan with Camera — take a photo of the songbook page
  • Choose from Gallery — pick an existing photo

OCR recognizes Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Marathi scripts in addition to English. The detected language auto-fills the language dropdown. AI then extracts the title, author, and clean lyrics from the scan.

AI key required

Scan and URL import use your connected AI key. If you haven't connected one yet, you'll see a prompt to open Settings → AI.

3. Import from URL​

Paste a lyrics webpage link in the Import from URL card and tap Import:

  • The page is fetched and HTML-stripped
  • Encoding is handled so Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil text don't get corrupted
  • AI extracts title, author, lyrics, and language
  • Fields auto-fill — review and edit before saving

A thumbs-up / thumbs-down appears after any AI extraction so you can flag inaccurate results.

Browse the library​

  • Songs show as cards with an album-style icon, title, author, slide count, language chip (for non-English), and category chip
  • A badge at the top shows the total song count
  • On tablets and desktops the list flows into multiple columns based on screen width

A search bar appears once you have more than three songs. It matches against title and author as you type. Clear with the × icon.

Select a song to present​

Tap any song card to load it into the Present panel. On mobile this switches to the Present tab automatically.

Edit a song​

From the live presentation view, open a song's edit screen to change title, author, language, or lyrics. If you change the lyrics, the slides are regenerated on save.

Delete songs​

  • Remove one from the song's edit flow
  • Clear (top of the song list) removes every song from the library after a confirmation dialog

Deletions are pushed to the cloud so other leaders' libraries stay in sync.
