Giving Overview
Digital giving on Nlarj. You publish your church's payment details (UPI, bank, Zelle, Stripe link, Razorpay link) inside the app, and members send tithes and offerings directly to your existing accounts. Nlarj does not process the money — your provider does, and funds land in the same bank account you already use.
How it works
[Member opens Give screen]
↓
[Picks one of your configured methods]
↓
[Pays through that provider app / bank]
↓
[Funds land in your church's existing account]
- Pastor configures one or more payment methods in Giving Setup
- Member opens the app and taps Give
- Member sees the methods you enabled, in the order you set
- Member pays using their preferred method (UPI app, bank transfer, Zelle, Stripe link, or Razorpay link)
- Money lands directly in the account tied to that method
Nlarj stores no card numbers and does not settle funds. Every transaction is between your member and your bank / payment provider.
Supported methods
The admin app has one tab per method. You can enable any combination — or all of them.
| Method | Region | What you enter |
|---|---|---|
| UPI | India | UPI ID (e.g. churchname@ybl) + optional display name |
| Bank Transfer | India | Account number, IFSC code, beneficiary name, optional bank name |
| Zelle | United States | Zelle email or US phone number + optional display name |
| Stripe | Global | A Stripe Payment Link URL (https://buy.stripe.com/...) |
| Razorpay | India / Global | A Razorpay Payment Link URL (https://rzp.io/... or Payment Pages URL) |
Pick whatever fits your country. Recommendations inside the app:
- India — UPI, Bank Transfer, Razorpay, Stripe
- United States — Zelle, Stripe
- UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Singapore — Stripe
- Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa — Stripe, Bank Transfer
Country selection
Inside Giving Setup → Country, pick the country your church operates in. This drives the method recommendations members see on the Give screen. Supported countries in the picker include United States, India, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Philippines, Brazil, Germany, France, Singapore, and UAE.
Display order
Giving Setup → Order lets you drag the configured methods into the order members should see them. The top method appears first on the Give screen.
Scripture verse
Giving Setup → Verse lets you search the Bible and pin a verse to the Give screen (e.g. 2 Cor 9:7 — "Cheerful giver"). Members see the verse above the payment options.
Security cooldown
Payment details (UPI ID, bank account, IFSC) can only be changed once every 7 days. Every change is written to an audit log with timestamp and the admin account that made it.
View the log in Giving Setup → History.
What's not in the app
A few things churches sometimes expect from "church giving software" are intentionally not in Nlarj today:
- No multi-fund designation (Tithes vs. Missions vs. Building) — members send one payment to one method
- No recurring donation scheduling — that's handled inside your UPI app / Stripe / Razorpay if the provider supports it
- No auto-generated tax receipts — receipts come from your payment provider or bank
- No refund / adjust workflow — do that inside the provider dashboard
- No per-member giving history view — Nlarj doesn't see who paid whom
If you need any of the above, use your payment provider's dashboard (Stripe, Razorpay) — they already have reporting, refunds, and tax receipts for the transactions they process.
Fees
Nlarj takes nothing per transaction. You pay your provider directly at whatever rate they quote you.
