Shorts Generator

The Shorts Generator is not yet available in the app. The features below describe what's planned. For now, you can generate Quote Cards and Verse Cards (still images with AI-generated backgrounds) from the AI Sermon Planner — those ship today and cover a lot of the same social-posting use cases.

What it will do​

Turn a 45-minute sermon into shareable clips for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Facebook Reels. The planner will:

  1. Read the sermon transcript
  2. Identify "hook moments" — powerful quotes, stories, calls to action
  3. Propose several short clips with timestamps
  4. Cut the original video to each clip
  5. Add burned-in captions (for silent mobile viewing)
  6. Export as 9:16 vertical video

What you can do today​

Until the full Shorts Generator ships, here's what's available on the Creative & Media section of the Planner:

  • Verse Card — AI picks a key verse from the sermon, generates a matching background image, and overlays the verse text. Shareable to Instagram, WhatsApp, and stories.
  • Quote Cards — AI picks powerful quotes from the sermon, pairs them with designed backgrounds. Shareable to social media.
  • Social Media content type — ready-to-post captions for Instagram, Twitter/X, and Facebook, tailored per platform
  • Hashtags — 15-20 relevant tags to go with your posts

These all run on your BYOK AI key and use your configured image provider (Imagen or DALL-E). See AI Sermon Planner for the full list.

When will video shorts ship?​

We don't have a firm date. If you have strong opinions on what the feature should do — clip count, duration preferences, caption styling, which platforms matter most — we'd love to hear from you. Reach out through the support channels in the main Settings screen.
