Invite Members

The Invite screen gives you a reusable QR code and shareable link you can send through WhatsApp, SMS, or any share target. Every invite carries a pre-selected role so new joiners land in the right place.

Getting to the screen​

From Members, tap the person-add icon at the top right. The screen opens with an invite link already generated for the Visitor role.

Invite as​

Pick the role new joiners will receive once they complete sign-up. The available roles are:

  • Visitor
  • Member
  • Deacon
  • Ministry Leader
  • Worship Leader
  • Youth Leader
  • Prayer Coordinator
  • Biblical Guide
  • Treasurer
  • Elder
  • Pastor
  • Admin

Changing the role regenerates the link and QR code automatically.

Auto-approve vs. manual approval
  • Visitor and Member invites auto-approve — people join instantly when they tap the link.
  • Every other role requires your approval after sign-up. You'll see a "Requires manual approval" hint under the dropdown for Admin, Pastor, and Elder.

QR code​

The QR card shows:

  • A scannable QR pointing to the invite URL
  • The invite code as a tappable chip (tap to copy the link)
  • A 7-day expiry badge — invite links are valid for 7 days from creation

Anyone with a phone camera or QR-scanning app can scan it. Leadership invites route to the Church Admin app; Visitor/Member invites route to the Member app.

A row of share buttons is built in:

  • WhatsApp — opens WhatsApp with the invite message pre-filled
  • SMS — opens your Messages app with the invite message pre-filled
  • Copy — copies the invite link to the clipboard
  • More — opens the system share sheet

The pre-filled message includes the church name, the role, the invite link, and the correct app store links (Member app for visitors/members, Church Admin app for leadership roles).

Add by email​

Below the share options is an Add by Email section. Expand it, enter an email address, and tap Send Invite.

Tap Manage Invites (top-right link icon on mobile, button on desktop) to see and manage every active invite link you've created for this church.

Pending requests​

When a leadership invite is used, the new joiner shows up in Pending Members for review:

  • See their name, email, phone (if provided), and when they requested to join
  • Approve — they become an active member with the pre-set role
  • Decline — the request is dismissed

Tips​

  • Invite staff and leaders with their specific role pre-set so they don't need a role change after joining.
  • Use the Visitor or Member link for church-wide launches so new joiners get in without waiting.
  • Rotate the link (create a new one) only if it leaks to people you don't want joining.
